Class Description: Discover the timeless art of pearl knotting in this engaging workshop. Learn the ins and outs of knotting pearls and other beads, plus how to string beads & attach clasps when working with silk cord. We will also cover how to use knots to create "floating" designs. This class will teach you how to securely knot pearls and other beads on silk cord, both for security and as design elements. We will also cover the elegant "floating" design where beads are spaced with visible gaps. How to create a floating bead design with evenly spaced beads for a delicate, airy appearance. You’ll also learn how to choose the perfect size and color of cord to match your beads. You'll have a choice of beads, and take home a beautiful, knotted necklace. Bring your own beads if you have some you want to turn into a necklace. The materials fee includes knotting tweezers, silk cord, beads and jewelry findings. Other necessary tools nd glue will be available to borrow in class. ? Techniques for tying consistent, tight knots between beads. ? Methods for attaching clasps and finishing touches to ensure a professional look. Materials Provided: ? High-quality silk cords in various colors. ? A selection of pearls and other beads. ? Clasps and findings to complete your projects. ? You’ll take home a finished knotted necklace, knotting tweezers and detailed, printed instructions. Skill Level: This workshop is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced crafters advanced designs. What to Bring: Participants may bring any special beads or pearls they wish to incorporate into their designs. ? The skills to continue making beautifully knotted bead jewelry at home.
