You’ll learn to create your own loom-woven pattern, and how to weave on any kind of bead loom. The magic in the bracelet is – there are no ends to weave in. The endless loom allows you to uwevae on continuous bands that create a bracelet that has no beginning and no end, and stretches to go over your hand – no clap needed! No annoying hread ends to weave in or clunky metak findings to connect the bracelet – just one, contunous woven band. Class Description: In this class, you will learn the (surprisingly simple) basics of Kumihimo, the ancient art of Japanese braiding. You will then learn to combine this finely detailed (but still easy!) braiding with metal beads to create this unusual and beautiful bracelet! You will come away with a finished bracelet, along with detailed, printed instructions for applying these techniques in future projects. Class Description: Discover the timeless art of pearl knotting in this engaging workshop. Learn the ins and outs of knotting pearls and other beads, plus how to string beads & attach clasps when working with silk cord. We will also cover how to use knots to create "floating" designs. This class will teach you how to securely knot pearls and other beads on silk cord, both for security and as design elements. We will also cover the elegant "floating" design where beads are spaced with visible gaps. How to create a floating bead design with evenly spaced beads for a delicate, airy appearance. You’ll also learn how to choose the perfect size and color of cord to match your beads. You'll have a choice of beads, and take home a beautiful, knotted necklace. Bring your own beads if you have some you want to turn into a necklace. The materials fee includes knotting tweezers, silk cord, beads and jewelry findings.
